INSTALLING A DLT (35/70) TO A MACHINE BASED WINDOWS 2000 SERVER AS EXTERNAL

We have a DIGITAL DLT (35/70 SCSI) and want to install it to a machine based windows 2000 server as external. (The machine has already an internal compaq DLT (110/220))

How to install it ? (And can they run both 35/70 and 110/200 together?)

Thanks for information you will send.

Mehmet,

There should not be a problem installing the DEC model (I assume it's a TZ89).

Just be aware that some of the TZ89 models attached to Alpha Servers were High Voltage Differential models (HVD). The Compaq servers only support Low Voltage Differential (LVD) models.

Backup Exec/Arcserve and Windows 2000 native backup shoould all support the TZ89.

Brian
