Imaginig a 6400R with RDP

I am trying to use RDp to image a 6400R with a NC3131 network card, I can't get the bootdisk to see the network card and obviously the network card is not pxe enabled, what do I need to do to get this to work?

Re: Imaginig a 6400R with RDP

Stuart,

If you run the Bootwiz (Boot Disk Creator) under RDP and create a network boot disk, you should be able to select the NIC here. The NC3131 shows as a Compaq Ethernet or Fast Ethernet NIC and uses the N100.DOS file. Once connected to the RDP server, usually F: drive as \\SERVER\EXPRESS share then you can run IBMASTER.EXE which is the actual imaging program.

If you still have problems with this you could try a universal network disk and connect to the RDP server manually to run IBMASTER. Here is the link to a good universal network boot disk which supports the NC3131. To use it you need to create a DOS boot floppy under Windows XP which is explained on this site.

I hope this helps.
