Insight Agents Problem

I am having 2 problems with the 5.00.1 A Agents running on a new install.

1.) The agents are causing modprobe to throw a lot of complaints about can't locate modules into the /etc/messages log. It starts when the agents are initialized and the logs get huge (38 meg over a few days). Below is an example:

May 6 04:02:03 fs modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-207
May 6 04:02:08 fs modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-207
May 6 04:02:12 fs modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-8
May 6 04:02:12 fs last message repeated 15 times
May 6 04:02:12 fs modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-65
May 6 04:02:12 fs last message repeated 9 times
May 6 04:02:13 fs modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-207
May 6 04:02:18 fs modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-207
May 6 04:02:27 fs modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-8
May 6 04:02:27 fs last message repeated 15 times

I temporarily resolved the problem by putting lines like:

alias module block-major-8 off

into the /etc/modules.conf file

This stopped the logging, but I'd like to know the source of the problem. We are going to be installing quite a few of these boxes in the near future.

2.) When starting the cmasrv services, the RIB agent seems to start, but a short time (5 to 10 minutes) later it dumps. The status is shown as running for this period of time. The following is reported:

Starting Compaq Server Agents (cmasvr): All agents
Starting Compaq Server peer (cmasvrpeerd):
Starting Compaq Standard Equipment agent (cmastdeqd):
Starting Compaq Health agent (cmahealthd):
Starting Compaq RIB agent (cmasm2d):

May 08 13:25:45 fs cmasm2d[20546]: cpqsm2d : Permission denied. Agent execution
should be done from root.

Anyone can help?
