Insight Management Agent install fails.
Hi,
I am having a problem. We can't deploy the agent using SIM or manually. The installation fails with a "check that you have sufficient rights to start services". I have verified that I have those rights. I have tried this:
1) installing via network as both domain and local administrator
2) copying the file to local drive and try again
Same error in all scenarios. I have verified that I have the right version of the agent.
HW: DL385G2
SW: 2003 X64 R2, Sp1 + all security patches.
Agent version: 7.70
Any one have any ideas?
Alex.

Re: Insight Management Agent install fails.
I've never heard about this... Therefore I recommend you to download the hole PSP (Proliant Support Parck), This package auto-install all your ever needs to to run HP Tools.
The PSP for you 64bit OS can be downloaded from HP.com

Re: Insight Management Agent install fails.
It turned out that SNMP wasn't installed (I hadn't set up the machines, so didn't imagine it could be that). After installing it, installations stopped failing.
Goes to show that you should never discount any possibility.
