Install DD IDE on ML330

Hi all,

I'm trying to install an IDE disk on a ML330 G1 SCSI box. I activated the secondary IDE controller in the BIOS and when I boot, it detects a disk (14Mb instead of 80Mb) then reboots and says "secondary controller or disk failure...".
The disk is fine and I've tried with different cables (CS or normal IDE).

Suspect this old machine may not support a recent HDD Western Digital WD800. Is there a solution?

Anyone already solved this problem?

It is Proliant BIOS restriction - IDE HDDs is not supported on SCSI models, IDE CD-ROMs only.
