Install of NW6 & NW5.1 fails on IDE driver install.
On installing either NW6 or NW5.1 on a ML330e T01 PIII 1000 with a Seagate Barracuda ST340016A 40GB HDD, the installation fails due to no storage media being present. The installation successfully formats the DOS partition and makes the initial file copy, so the disk is visible in DOS. Are there any firmware updates or updated IDEHD.CDM or IDEATA.HAM drivers? The latest ROMPaq has been applied.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Install of NW6 & NW5.1 fails on IDE driver install.
Hello,
Are you using any raid controller in the system?? If yes then you have to set the boot controller order first before you start the installation. If you need further assistance please feel free to contact our Tech Support at 1-800-652-6672.

Re: Install of NW6 & NW5.1 fails on IDE driver install.
I have the solution to the problem. The latest MEGAIDE.HAM driver download fixed it. But, the installation of NW6 now hangs at the point of removing the CIS_LDAP.ZIP file; a CCS.XLM problem. This does not happen with NW5.1. Is this a Compaq BIOS issue or a Novell NICI issue?
