Re: Install psp 7.9
Igor
well I was looking for a Firmware CD matrix... something regarding server and Firmware version but I could not find something like that
also Igor checking this issue PSP is OK? or maybe the server needs PSP 7.6 because it is a G2, at this point I've always thought that the PSP is related with the OS

Re: Install psp 7.9
I basically can see 4 messages
1.
The software will not be installed on this system because the required hardware is not present in the system or the software/firmware doesn't apply to this system.
2.
The software is currently installed, but does not need to be installed on this system.
3.The software is installed but is not up to date.
4.
The operation was successful.
I would recommend you to check
-> All programs
-> Hp System Tools
Once there check if you have
- Array Configuratio Utility
- Array diagnostic Utility
- HP integrated Management Log
- HP Insight Diagnostic Online
- ...
check if all of them are present and work fine that would mean PSP was installed OK.
I could see for those components in the log
"The software is not installed on this system, but is supported for
installation."
- the component will be installed
The operation was successful.
- also check HP System Management HomePage
that is an icon in the Desktop

Re: Install psp 7.9
Sorry, I did not answer yesterday (it was a very tough day).
So, I have a HP System Management HomePage, but it does not show me any information about the server:
System Model - Unknown
Management Processor ├в none
HP Insight Diagnostics ├в is not supported for this system
System Info ├в when I open it ├в blank page
HP NIC Agent, HP Server Agent, HP Storage Agent, HP Foundation Agent ├в it is telling me, that content is on tabs and in the boxes on the right, but just 2 tabs one Settings ├в nothing on the page and another one is Logs ├в also nothing there.
I have in the Program Files HP System Tools. Everything, what is belong to Array it is show me something.
Thanks
Alex

Re: Install psp 7.9
check this thread regarding System Management Home Page and the issue you are having
maybe you have not installed yet SNMP Services or maybe you already have it but it is not configured SNMP Traps and Security
all that information is in that thread

Re: Install psp 7.9
the person discovered that removing the second processor was causing the issue, that person had issues installing Smartstart 7.9 and PSP 7.9 and discovered removing second processor avoided the issue again and in that same thread another person discovered that the PPM was causing failed discovered for the PSP.
so if you want take the change to move check parts...
