Does anyone know of an installation guide for the Proliant ML370 G1 (600-1000mhz) or an installation guide for SmartStart 5.50?
I am having some problems installing systems software for an ML370 and I need a reference guide for the exact steps for running a system erase and doing a fresh install from SS 5.50.
Specifically - troubleshooting and BIOS information is needed.
I haven't seen anything specific on the HP download site.
Thanks in advance
Mark

Here is a generic windows 2000 doc; not sure if it is going to address the specific problem you are having

Solution
Mark,
The Proliant Deployment and Management guide might help. I have attached it to this reply.
If you need more than this I'll see any replies you make. What specifically are you having diffculty with when setting up the server?
Regards,
Brian

Re: Installation Guide SmartStart 5.50 and Proliant ML350
Thanks Vijay and Brian for the information.
I finally got everything installed after doing a System Erase and then selecting W2000 as the OS to install using Boot Disks and the Drivers disk generated from the SmartStart 7.10 CD.
Once I had W2000 installed I upgraded to W2003 - also using the supplementary drivers disk for W2003 generated off the SS 7.10CD.
Appreciate the help.
