Installation of PSP 7.60 causes SNMP issues

I just installed the PSP 7.60 b onto a couple of servers. I am having problems with SNMP crashing on these servers.
Hardware is a DL360 G2, and the error is as follows:

snmp.exe - application error
The instruction at "0x404873f9" referenced memory at "0x404873f9". The memory cannot be "read"

What Operating System do you have is it Microsoft?

Try installing HP Insight Management WBEM Provider:

It does the same thing as SNMP, but you don't need to configure it as SNMP, just install and that's it, there is no worry about the community names and trap destinations. After you install the WBEM install the insight management agents again since they need to fall over WBEM

Windows 2000

As for using the WMI that is an interesting idea, but the whole infrastructure is built upon using SNMP. Maybe for an enhancement, but not right now

Ok then try installing SNMP that way:

- SNMP Protocol can be installed in Windows 2000/2003 from Add/Remove programs> Add/Remove windows components
- You need to have the windows CD in the server
- Select Simple Network Management Protocol and WMI SNMP Provider only.
- In order to configure the SNMP protocol accepted community names, we need to go to administrative tools>services> SNMP service> SNMP service properties. Two tabs that we work with are the Traps and Security Tabs.

Check document attached might help the configuration in the document works, once you have SNMP installed and configure install the insight management agents again

Thanks, I might try re-installing SNMP and see how that goes
