Installation of RHEL 4.5 on BL2x220c G5 fails.

I'am trying to install RedHat Enterprise Linux V4U5 on a BL2x220c G5 blade server. However the installation procedure fails shortly after answering the boot prompt when booting from the RedHat CDROM. The screen blanks out but the CDROM continues to read. I can press to reboot.

It seems that the install program is not completely dead, it's just that the screen is blank (no signal).

Has anyone had any success installing RedHat Enterprise Linux on these blades? Btw I was able to install RHEL 5.2 but I really need install RHEL 4.

Yes, the firmware is up to date, to the latest version.

RHEL4u5 is veryveryvery old. Try with latest RHEL4 release. And if that does not work, check if the HW is even supported in RHEL4
