Installed 4 port pci nic to DL360 server - Red "Health" LED showing

Hi,

I have a (2) HP DL360 G6 servers that I performed the following hardware upgrades on this morning:
Added RAM
Added (1) PCI 4-port NIC

Now when I boot up both servers, I have a red LED on the front panel indicating "Health"

I've upgraded RAM before w/o any issues so I'm wondering if this is related to the NICs...

Anybody got an idea what might cause this to happen on both servers?

Adrian

HI Roemeister,

Check the system health in System Management Home page it will show which component is degraded.

IML and ILO threshold is also helpful.

Sometimes it be due to old system bios/ILO firmware and within OS due to old management agents.

thanks,
Aftab

Try doing the firmware on just that adapter. I have a Quad NIC in a DL 380 G5 act up after replacing it. The firmware on the NIC was not up to date against the firmware on the board. Just do the NIC to start.
