Installed Agentless Management Bundle for ESXi 7.0, but iLO doesn't see AMS.
Hi there, I recently bought a DL380p Gen8 from ebay to run a few small vm's in my office (I know it's old, but still overkill for my needs). I'm new to the Proliant line so I don't know all the different management software. I've installed ESXi 7.0 and wanted to monitor the raid1 drives. I didn't find any software that works on one of the windows VM's so I searched and came across Agentless Management Service that can be monitored through the iLO.
I installed: "HPE Agentless Management Bundle for ESXi 7.0" and "HPE Agentless Management Bundle Smart Component for ESXi 7.0" and rebooted, yet iLO still says AMS is not running.
The components look like they installed, but I don't see any AMS service that should be running. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Re: Installed Agentless Management Bundle for ESXi 7.0, but iLO doesn't see AMS.
Greetings!
DL380p Gen8 doesn't seem to be certified for Esxi 7.0. Last supported version is 6.5 U3

Please install compatible OS and check the results.

Re: Installed Agentless Management Bundle for ESXi 7.0, but iLO doesn't see AMS.
Unfortunately, that's not really an option anymore. They system is already in production running fine under esxi 7.0. When installing esxi 7.0, it said that the server won't work on future releases, but nothing about the current release.
So the HPE Agentless Management Bundle for ESXi 7.0" and "HPE Agentless Management Bundle Smart Component for ESXi 7.0" don't work on the gen8?

Re: Installed Agentless Management Bundle for ESXi 7.0, but iLO doesn't see AMS.
Greetings!
Unfortunately, Gen8 servers are not ceritified/not supported for Esxi 7.0 if we see the OS support matrix below.
https://techlibrary.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/vmware.aspx
Furthermore if we refer the component download page, there are no options available for Esxi 7.
