Hi There,
I have previously posted "Expanding network on a DL180 Gen6" and as per the post suggestion I have bought NC360T network adapter. However, now I'm finding it difficult to install as the PCI cage is connected to the board while another is connected to the PCI cage slot.
What I wanted to know is whether, do i have to remove the PCI cage fully to install the NIC as I couldn't install it without removing it. Quiet confused and frustated with the PCI cage design as I couldn't stuff in the NIC.
Solved! Go to Solution.

SolutionYes, you have to loosend the two screws and lift the PCI cage out of the chassis to install additional cards.

Re: Installing NIC on an HP DL180 Gen 6
Hi There,
Thanks for the heads up! I had to lift the cage up and install the NIC. It is working perfectly fine now.
