Re: Installing NT

I was install win2000 and win2003, but not nt4.0.
What problem you are experiencing?
In basically you will need in drivers for storage controller(scisi or sas) on floppy drive.
Just for testing bring one clear drive and try install on it.

Re: Installing NT

I have to install NT because I need to create more PDC/BDCs for a new site. The whole lot will be upgraded eventually, but for the moment I will need to create them for a number of domains. Believe me if I had the choice ..... :-) Cheers

Re: Installing NT

Ok, no problem if you had the choice.
just HP DL360 G5 not supported by Windows NT 4.0. look at this matrix:
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/windows/index-dl.html
And minimum of you need -find drivers for nic and storage controller for this server(i can't find it on hp support).
Try to make windows 2000 member of NT4.0 domain and then elevate his role to BDC or PDC.
Read more at microsoft's site in article how to migrate from nt40 domain:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/technologies/activedirectory/deploy/upgrdmigrate/upgrnt.mspx
Or try create different Win2k domain and trust relations between NT4.0 and Win2k domain. Read how to:
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/windows/index-dl.html
Well i really don't know how to help you.

Re: Installing NT

Steve,
You cannot install NT4 on G5 servers (even on G4...)
I think best option for you install windows 2003 server + Virtual server 2005 (or VMWare) on G5 server and install NT4 as guest OS.
