Installing Win 2003 SBS DL320 G5

Hi. I have a DL320 G5 bought on June last year. I have read in the HP Business site that the DL320 G5 is compatible with the Windows 2003 SBS Premium and the SBS R2 Premium. I have upgrade the firmware using the last release (8.00). And still using the new StartSmart 7.92, i am unable to install either OS.

There is a way to install a Windows 2003 SBS Premium or R2 version in the DL320 G5 bought on 2007?

remember SmartStart only supports server with Smart Array controller and usually that server has a Embedded SATA Controller or you can add any other Smart Array so if the server has Smart Array Controller like e200, p400, ...

so in case you have a SATA controller you need to add the driver pressing F6 when Windows is loading and add driver using a floppy

or you can use nlite and include the driver in the CD

Problem solved. Regarding that the SmartStart, even version 7.92, doesn't allow to install Win2003 SBS in an old DL320 G5, we asked to Microsoft to send new medias of the Win SBS. The new medias with new date, were able to be installed in the Server. After the installation without using the SS 7.92, we installed the drivers using the SS with no problems.
