Installing Windows 2000 Server
I purchased a used Proliant 3000 server P II 450, which has never been configured. I would like to load Windows 2000 server on it. What do I need to do prior to loading it. I have smart start 4.8. Thanks for any help

Re: Installing Windows 2000 Server
i would recommend the following before proceeding..
1) clear the NVRAM on the system
2) update the system and controller roms
3) run the erase utility off the smartstart cd (if there is any data on the drives at all)
4) use an assisted install off of the smartstart..you will need a server profile diskette..if you do not have one a simple formatted blank floppy with a blank text file put on it called spd.ini will work.. simply create new text file and name it as such..
