Re: Installing XP on Proliant ML 115

Since Win XP is not a supported operating system for the ML115 server, getting the drivers for it would be difficult.

You can try the Windows 2000 drivers instead:

Again, the drivers may / may not work. Even if they do, the performance may / may not be optimal.

Good Luck!

Re: Installing XP on Proliant ML 115

Well, I have an idea, I don't know if it will work...

Install a kind of hardware-info software like everest. THen point o the NIC and see the exact description and model, then try to google for drivers :))) Sometimes it works and I have solved a lot of driver issues that way...

Hello Charles,

If you are using Broadcom NC series NICs of this server.

Re: Installing XP on Proliant ML 115

Thanks for all of the replies,

Issue well and truly resolved.
It was quite simple actually.
The exe that i downloaded from HP said my OS isn't supported when I tried to install the drivers.
But when i extracted them and manually assigned them it worked!

Thanks again

Re: Installing XP on Proliant ML 115

Just the ones that came with the CD I got with the server. I it was strange because when I useed the program provied where you simply open it up, select a couple of options and install it didn't work. I got a message like I said saying it's the wrong operating system. But when I went to add hard ward then browed for the driver file on the CD it was fine.

Thanks again.
