Installing a 8G FC HBA on a DL380G10 Server
Can I still install a QLE2562 card which is 8G in the DL380G10 Server?
In the QuickSpecs of the DL380G10 server it is not showing the card as configurable but am wondering whether can I still use the older 8G FC HBAs on the G10 Servers?
Anywhere I can find this info?

Re: Installing a 8G FC HBA on a DL380G10 Server
Hi,
If you check the AJ764A (QLE2562), Select HPE ProLiant Gen9, Gen 8 and G7 servers are supported.

My guess is that, Gen10 uses 16GB or 32GB port HBA, hence 8GB HBA is not supported.
Thank You!

They were never tested in Gen10. All you can do is install one and see if the system and/or OS recognises the card. You may have to set the system to legacy BIOS emulation mode. If you re using secure boot, it won't work. This document provides some context on UEFI and option ROMS https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/uefi-validation-option-rom-validation-guidance
