Is installing this part as simple as phyiscally installing the hardware. Does Win2K3 have the required drivers, etc?

Should I connect my DAT72x6 to the card before I power on the server after card installation? I currently have this device on the same scsi chain as my hard drives. By installing this card I can place the 72x6 on an external scsi bus thus enabling the changer to work.

Hi Mark,

Yes, attach the changer and power it on before powering on the server. When the controller initialises you will see it performing a SCSI bus scan and be able to check that it has found the changer (robot) and DAT72 drive during the scan.
