Thanks

Re: Installing second processor on ML350
Pre-requisite for a processor upgrade:
1.System rom should be latest
2.Processors should be identical
Flash the latest system ROM with the first processor from here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/24656.html
Then install the second processor and reboot the server.
Also you may want to check in the BIOS whether the option "Set CPU Corrected" is enabled.
Hope this works!!!!

Re: Installing second processor on ML350
Multi-Processor support is by default installed in Windows 2003.This can be verified by going to the Device manager and looking under category Computer. It should state ACPI Multiprocessor PC.
Installing the same part number is necessary.

Re: Installing second processor on ML350
If the above mentioned points are satisfied, then there should not be any issue with booting the server to the Windows OS with dual processor.
The server has dual processing capability and ensure that the PPM 2 is installed for the 2nd processor.
