Integrated Management Log-Blue Screen Trap
I am very new to these forums and using HP Insight Management tools but wonder if you can please help me. We have recently started supporting a HP Proliant ML 310 G5 Running Windows 2003 Server SP2 being used as a Domain Contoller\file server\small Terminal Server.
On looking in the Integrated Management log the machine appears to have blue screened a few times with the logs displaying the below blue Screen trap events:-
Index Description Time Of Event Update Time Count
1 Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x0000004E (0x0000000000000099, 0x000000000005555E, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)) 1/4/2010 2:59PM 1/4/2010 2:59PM 1
2 Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x000000C5 (0x0000000000000008, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000001, 0xFFFFF800011A9EBD)) 12/11/2009 5:09PM 12/11/2009 5:09PM 1
4 Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x0000004E (0x0000000000000099, 0x000000000005555C, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)) 4/3/2009 7:40AM 4/3/2009 7:40AM 1
In the event logs after the reboot on the 12/11/2009 there is the following:-
Event 6008
The previous system shutdown at 11:42:04 AM on 12/11/2009 was unexpected.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
I have also noticed that for an hour or two before this particuar reboot, no new entires are made into any of the event viewer logs.
As i see the lack of new events prior to the reboot, it is difficult to troubleshoot and for the other blue screen events nothing inconspicuous is reported in the event logs prior to the reboots. The server does complete the reboot successfully without any user input.
I have read online that these types of Blue Screen Traps could be an issue with the memory. The server currently has 2046MB installed although the page file is usually fairly large around 1.5GB with system managed virtual memory. The machine is still covered under a HP Care Pack...is it worth requesting for the memory to be replaced or can anyone else offer any other guidance?
Thanks alot

Re: Integrated Management Log-Blue Screen Trap
Download Firmware Maintenance CD and upgrade all firmwares to latest versions.
If you have another CPU try to test server with another CPU.
Boot smartstart to diagnose server.
I put my bet on OS problem or CPU!

Re: Integrated Management Log-Blue Screen Trap
Juan, the main memory dump file is 333 Meg so unfortunately I cant upload directly given the upload limit is 1MB. However I have uploaded three mini dumps that have been generated each time the Blue Screen Trap has occured and are contained within the uploaded ZIP file, I hope this is ok? If not let me know and I will upload the full memory dump to a different location Internet and post the link.
Thanks alot for your replies-much appreciated.
