Integrated NIC performance versus others
What sort of performance toll does the integrated NIC impose? Are there better choices for ensuring maximum speed / minimum CPU? I have a ML370, a bunch of DL360s, a 1600 and a 2500. How does the integrated NICs in these machines differ?
Thanks

Re: Integrated NIC performance versus others
Having an integrated nic does not in itself impose a performance limit - It's just not as easy to swap it out if it ever breaks. The same chipset is used, it's on the PCI bus just like a card would be (but without the extra physical connections).
