Intelligent Provisioning ML350p Gen 8 - firmware not updating

ML350 Gen 8 - an issue is when trying to update the firmware only 1 of the 4 NICs will get an IP from a DHCP server.

 

The 4th NIC will do an ACK and get an IP, DNS and attempt to do a GET from the hp.com site but currently the ftp sub-directory refuses the request.

 

HP are on-to-this and I'm posting this to alter others who are asking 'but why is the firmware not updating?'

 

- I downloaded the DVD image and updated Intelligent Provisioning Recovery to 1.10.1xx

 

The simple workaround is d/l the DVD image for firmware and boot from the DVD.

 

These Gen 8 servers are quiet.

Thanks for the heads-up John, HP is aware of the issue and is working towards a resolution for firmware update through IP

The problem now has been fixed and the IP firmware  update is not working. looks like it was the index.xml missing file that was causing the issue
