Intelligent Provisioning and VLAN Tagging

Hello everybody,
does anyone have an idea or know how to configure VLAN tagging in Intelligent Provisioning?
I want to use IP firmware updates
However, VLAN tagging is configured on the swichtports and can not be changed ad hoc.
We use IP version 2.70b / DL380 Gen9

Thanks and regards

Re: Intelligent Provisioning and VLAN Tagging

Hi Wolfgang,

There is no option available in Intelligent Provisioning to configure VLAN tagging, please refer HP Intelligent Provisioning User Guide for HP ProLiant Gen9 Servers (Page 8) for your reference.

https://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c04419967-8.pdf

NOTE: HP Intelligent Provisioning does not function within multihomed configurations. A multihomed host is one that is connected to two or more networks or has two or more IP addresses.

Or refer Setting Intelligent Provisioning preferences.

However  Intelligent Provisioning 2.70(b)(28 Feb 2018) is the latest IP firmware.

For further Intelligent Provisioning upgrade you can download from below link revision history of Intelligent Provisioning for Gen9 Servers.

Re: Intelligent Provisioning and VLAN Tagging

We have this problem to.  IP is not intelligent enough to support VLAN tagging.  Most of our servers are on trunk (multi VLAN) ports, so IP is unable to connect to the Internet and get firmware updates.  I am surprised that HPE has not found this a common problem with IP.

Please add VLAN support to IP.

Best Regards,

Marty
