Intelligent Provisioning update fails with UEFI boot on G9
I found a problem with the Intelligent Provisioning update 2.84 on G9 (DL380 and DL580) servers.
Every time when I boot the Intelligent Provisioning update via UEFI (from USB stick), it ends with an "BMC communication error" and restarts.
When I boot via legacy boot, it works without a problem.
Anyone else encountered this problem?

Was the server set aside because of this error, or is this a new problem?

Re: Intelligent Provisioning update fails with UEFI boot on G9
It is not a problem with the server.... Those were perfectly working servers and I just wanted to update the I.P. It works perfectly when booting via legacy BIOS but it fails when booting UEFI. To be clear, the update starts with UEFI boot but then it fails with the error mentioned before. So it is not a "boot" problem.
I experienced that on a DL580 G9 and multiple DL380 G9.

Please refer HPE customer Advisory matches to reported issue.

Re: Intelligent Provisioning update fails with UEFI boot on G9
The answer is close but does not solve my problem ("...Intelligent Provisioning 2.61 will correct this issue...") since I'm talking about the most recent version of 2.84.
We also tried the older 2.82 version with the same result.
It is also not a boot problem. The update utility boots without a problem in UEFI mode and the utility itself starts too. But while displaying the progress bar, it fails saying "unable to communicate with BMC"
On the other hand, when booted in legacy mode, the update runs perfectly.
