Interlock LED lighted up in red.

Hi, I have a problem with a HP Proliant DL360G3 Server. The interlock LED on the system board have lited up in red. I was just wondering does anyone have experience this before and what does the light indicator actually implies?

Any remedy to this?

Thanks and Regards,
Michael

Re: Interlock LED lighted up in red.

Interlock LED's are fixed generally by re-seating the components of the system.
Try reseating all the cables (power & signal) and make sure each processor and processor power module is seated well.
Make sure any PCI card(s) are well or if you have a dual power supply that each is seated well and that the chassis is holding together around them.
Make sure the floppy and CD-ROM drives are firmly seated in their slots.
Make sure the cabling for the SmartArray 5i are solid.

There is a poster on the top cover showing all the components... just follow what is says for what is needed to properly insert items.

If this does not work, there may be a faulty components... like a bad PPM or processor. That will take diagnostics and planned removal in sequence.

Hope this helps! -john
