Internal Drive Cage for ML370
Hi
Im looking for a internal drive cage for an older ML370 (none G2/G3). I found on a resellers web page one piece with HP Part Number 244059-B21.
Is that the correct one for my ml370?
Thanks for help

Re: Internal Drive Cage for ML370
Hi,
no, this option is a 2-drive expansion cage and is only for the G2 and later generations of the ML300 series. I don't think this fits in a G1 ML370. This server does not have any options for an additional hot-plug drive cage.
If you're looking for the original 6-bay drive cage, it has spare part number 387089-001.
Regards,
Stephen

Re: Internal Drive Cage for ML370
Rene:
I am not 100% sure, but I think you can use the DL380 2x1 drive cage:
Wide Ultra2/Ultra3 SCSI Drive Cage Option Kit
Option part Number: 157007-B21
The ML370 G1 server has the "option" to use "non hot-plug" drives in the media bays. You would then need to get a point to point short 68pin HD SCSI cable without termination.
A much cleaner solution would be to purchase a StorageWorks Enclosure and a RAID controller.
