PSP is a collection of softwares.
The SMH (system management homepage), SNMP and HP SIM can do hw monitoring.

In a way yes.
You can configure the Event notifier to send mail msg's of HP agent events which would include hardware failures. You do however need a SMTP server.
Preferably install SIM on your management server and configure accordingly, it is a free utility from HP.
