Is it possible to undelete a logical drive?

Hello

I had a one physical disk logical drive. When the DL380G3 was down I removed the disk from the backpane and later used Option ROM Configuration for Arrays to delete the logical drive. Hmmm, I'm now thinking, I'd like to undelete the logical drive. I'd like the data back.

The disk is now reinserted into the backpane and the disk comes up under hpacucli as "unassigned". Yes, I am now aware of the mistakes I've made that led to the predicament I'm now in. However, the question still hangs, is there anyway to undelete such a deleted logical drive?

Regards

Do you get an option to do something with it in POST when booting?

Johan, this is weird. Well, I think it's weird. During the power-on self test I can't remember lifting a finger and the deleted logical drive just magically re-appeared, as though it was never gone. I didn't even have to re-enable. Interesting: and thanks for the reply.

Great!

The RAID configuration is stored on the disk.

As you took the disk out before deleting the volume on the array, the config was still on the disk.
