Is the ML530G2 Discontinued?

Apparently HP has discontinued the ML530G2 as of June 30th. Does anyone know if there will be a G3 or similar replacement model? So far, our HP rep can only offer the ML370 or ML570...the former doesn't have enough drive bays, and the latter is overkill (expensive).

Alex:

You may be able to find a local vendor who has a TechData account or other major warehouse vendor who will have a few of these servers still on the shelf.

I am with you that retiring the ML530 is a bad move on HP's part. ( HP has not updated the quickspec changes to notice the retirement: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11359_na/11359_na_Changes.HTML )
I guess they feel if you want a two processor box and a bunch of drives you will buy a DL360G3 and a MSA30.
Enjoy!
