Is there a way to manually specify the blocksize for a drive attached to a P212 RAID-Controller?
Hi,
I've got two WD20EARS drives attached to a HP P212 RAID Controller (set up as a RAID-1 array). Those disks use a block-size of 4k but the controller reports the block-size to be 512 bytes. The problem that arises is that write performance is extremely bad (< 1MB/s most of the time).
Is there a chance to set/override the block size value provided by the controller? (By the way I'm using Debian (Squeeze AMD64))

Hello,
there is no need to set a sector size. See your other thread:
