Is there any software in HP similar to DELL DRAC ?

Hi,

We are using DELL Servers and just get a HP Compaq DL380 / G5 Server.

We have been using DELL DRAC for remote access so that we can install Operating System remotely. Is there any similar product in HP ? IS that product free ?

That would be the ILO or RILOE system...

A standard license is free with the HW, but this will only allow you 'text mode' remote console. (Good enough to see the error messages and to press [F1] to get it to boot when it crashes... Also gives you virtual buttons, error logs, and 'virtual media' which means you can attach the drives on your PC to the server over the net )

An advanced license gives you a full graphical remote console and a few more toys...
(This is included with Blade servers.)

You might also want to try a demo "iLo advanced license", which is available from the HP site...
