Isolated power fault detected in slot 1

I receive since serveral days the following Event ID:6 Source CPQPHP

'hp ProLiant PCI Hot Plug
Isolated power fault detected in slot 1'

Server is ProLiant ML370G2

There is no PCI Card in this slot.
Any idea to fix this?
Thank you

I am experiencing the identical problem but have an HBA in the slot. It disconnects the hba and the SAN LUN is dropped.

The CPQPHP is the PCI Hot Plug Controller Driver.

Have you attempted to flash the BIOS and then update this driver?

If there is a card in the slot what happens if you put it in another slot?

Ultimately the error might mean that the card in the slot or the slot itself is faulty.

Re: Isolated power fault detected in slot 1

Will a Bios update / driver update resolve the issue? I am a little reluctant to make changes as this is a production server that had been working previously. The server is also W2K and out of warranty. I have moved slots, swapped hba's and even swapped the PCI riser and the issue persists. I plan to move the raid arrays to another server to see if the issue follows the operating system but wanted to see if this is a well documented issue first.

Re: Isolated power fault detected in slot 1

Hi
I have updated the BIOS. I updated all drivers I could update. I did everything I found due to this error. At the end I have to realize a hardware problem. The error still persists. I was in a lucky situation, because I had to replace the server anyhow. I did that meanwhile.
