Issue applying DL580 G5 System ROM update 9-23-2008

I was receiving intermittent reboots on 2 DL580 G5 servers. What was logged in the IML on both boxes was error code 0x0000002E,0x00000000. Since the System ROM on both servers was dated 1/30/2008, I attempted to upgrade (via HPSUM) to using system rom dated 9-23-2008. One server updated and rebooted successfully. The other server went thru 99% of the install before showing the blue screen noted in the attachment. The server rebooted using the backup ROM dated 12/2007 and the new backup rom is now shows 1/30/2008. Please advise how to proceed with the update. Also what is cpftbl.sys used for?

updated to the latest psp then applied rom update.
