Issue of installing Emulex LP1050 to HP ProLiant DL 580 G5 server
Dear experts,
We've urgent issue with installing Emulex LP1050 FibreChannel HBA to HP ProLiant DL 580 G5 server.
Please give me some instruction to follow. We didn't install such things before.

Minimum Requirements for Emulex 2.00a12 and 2.01a4 Storport Driver
Driver installation with HP Smart Component requires a minimum of Windows Server 2003 SP2 with KB932755 or Windows Server 2003 SP1 with KB932755. Apply the Microsoft Storport update (KB932755) before installing or upgrading to this version of the miniport driver. For boot installations Windows Server 2003 SP2 install image is required followed by the KB update.

Currently our HP storage box (MSA1000) connected to HP Proliant DL585 (A01) server. This DL585 server always shutdowns when there's high load on the server. We updated its BIOS to 2007.02.14 (A), but doesn't help. There's enough cool in the server room. So we decided to connect the storage box to DL 580 G5 server which hasn't any FibreChannel adapter by default.
So we need some experience to connect it.

Once you have connected the storage box to the HBA and drivers installed you can configure the disks with the Online Array Configuration Utility.
DL580 G5 has had some issues which were fixed in the latest firmware P61. See the fixes section:
