Hi Guys,
Looking for some help on an issue updating firmware on some U320 Hard Drives Part Number356914-007...Model BF0368A4B9...Present firmware is HPB4 and latest release i am trying is version HPB9......Server Model is ML350 G4...Smart Array 641/642 vers.2.84.....I have tried so far....Software Update Manager 8.15, 8.20 and 8.50...the drives are recognised in SUM and it confirms they need updated but within about 10 secs the process fails with the error message "write buffer failed with return code 1035".......any help would be appreciated

SolutionHi,
This error "write buffer failed" comes up when issue is with hard drives or controller.
Issue could be with hard drive backplane or cables as well.
