Issues installing Win Server 2003 on DL380 G3
Hello all,
I'm trying to install Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise on a DL380 G3 using Smartstart CD 8.25 32-bit.
It loads Smartstart fine and asks for the Server 2003 CD, i load it and it copies all the files, at the end it pops the cd out, prior to promting you that you need to remove the cd after reboot.
Once it boots into Windows setup screen, it loads all the necessary drivers and gets stuck on "Setup is starting Windows".
can anyone tell me why it gets stuck here, i'm sure smartstart has loaded RAID drivers and all?
From reading online, it's trying to configure hardware. Waiting for more than an hour, if i try ctrl+alt+del, it does not respond. Even if i wait 5-10 mins is wont respond to ctrl+alt+del. Seems to be hung.
Thanks

try installing windows 2003 without smartstart CD and when the OS is up and running install the PSP 8.25 to get all drivers and HP applications loaded. run the HPsum.exe from the PSP.exe

I tried that, hangs at the same point.
I tried the cds on another computer and they are fine.
