Keyboard failure.

I have a proliant 2500 server with a strange problem. I shutdown the server and booted it back up. During the POST the keyboard lights flashed and the machine booted up normally except that the keyboard doesn't work. Everyone in the building can access the server like normal, but I can't log on to the server to do any adman work. I've tried several keyboards but none of them worked. I'm really stuck. Also is there a way to get into the BIOS to see if anything went wrong during the boot process. Any help would be greatly apperiacted.

Re: Keyboard failure.

Hi,

Don 't know exatly, but what you could try;

- check for ( posibel switched) cable positions of both mouse & keyboard
- Try to remotely acces the system config util

And more desastress method
- move switch 3 on the SW1 switch board ( near dedicated PCI slot 1 ) to the "on" position.
This clears the system memory to default values.
But if this is a hardware failure, you will NOT be able to reconfig your server. May cause boot failures.

SO USE WITH PRECAUTION!!

Added extra info

Sorry, but switch 3 as mentioned above should be switch no. 6

(no. 3 is for rackmount mode)
