LCD Display Blank, server not functional

Server (Proliant 2500) - Functional. Turned Off. Few Weeks later, turned back on. No picture. No LCD Display. If you hold the power button in a bit longer then normal, 1 out of 100 tries will get you a LCD display that states PROLIANT 2500, bios #, etc. No picture on monitor. Hard drives (scsi) power on, then lights go off. nothing. reseated all cards, CPU chasis, drives and cables. no luck. system was fine until it was powered off.. please help!

Do the CPU, system and power supply fans blow? If no, you have a bad power supply. If yes, then it could be several things that could cause the unit to respond sporadically. The minibackplane, the processor power module (VRM) or the system board.
