LO 100i on DL140G3 -- which NICs for sideband?

Hi there,

Simple question, but I can't seem to find it in the docs. I've got a DL140 G3, and I'm interested in running the LO 100i in a side-band mode, rather than using the dedicated jack. Can I do this on either NIC, or only on the first NIC?

Thanks

Hi Aaron,

See attached LO100 User Guide which includes the DL140 G3 model (Page 12).

It's not 100% clear if you can use either port for sideband.

I hope this helps.

Re: LO 100i on DL140G3 -- which NICs for sideband?

Indeed, that's as far as I got. I couldn't find any info that was specific to the DL140G3.

I'm actually kindof asking the question the other way around. I tried it, and could only get IPMI on NIC1. Unfortunately, it's NIC2 that's in the DHCP tables.

Sooo, my course of action will depend on whether I can use NIC2 + IPMI or whether I have to move service over to NIC1.
