Hello.
I have ProLiant DL380 G7 Product ID: 470065-368 y. 2013 dont support LTO-7 (2015) .
With Smart Array P410i and 468406-B21 HP SAS Expander Card with 1 free ext. SFF-8088.
Need to buy LTO-7 tape. for e. g. HPE StoreEver LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 .
Short story: Local dealer says we need a new G8 server.
For some reason I do not believe him.
I think everything should work "fine", who is right?

SolutionLook for
Data Agile BURA Compatibility Matrix
BackUp Recovery & Archive
document:
The smart array controller P212 would match both, server and drive.
We talk about SAS connectivity, right?
The other possibility would be an autoloader with fibre channel.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
