Lately our DL385 G5 server shutsdown unexpectedlly

Hi,

Lately our DL385 G5 server shutsdown unexpectedlly, with nog log entries indicating an error nither in windows og in HP managenment logs.

I have tried to bypass the UPS (just to make sure that it is not a UPS problem) but it still happens.

The shutdown happens at random times but every 1 to 3 days ether in the night or in workinghours.

There is no memory dump file on the system.

The server is running Windows 2003 with virtual server 2005.

Hi,

Is your DL385 G5 server configured with two processors?
Is there no green dot next to the Chassis Agency label?
Try to configure the server with a single processor (CPU slot 0)?
Check and provide the CPLD code Version of System Board.

Take care

Aman
