Latest bios version for SE316M1

can someone tell me if the bios version "R02 10/02/2009" is the latest version available for the ProLiant SE316M1?

If not, where can I download/receive the latest version?

S316M1 == DL160 G6.

But the BIOS on the DL160 G6 is O33, not R02..

Looks lik elefthandboxes have R02 BIOS too, ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/hp_LeftHandOS/Patch_10125_Release_Notes.html

perhaps that work if the DL160 G6 don't.

Unsure if the SPP works on these machines, but might be worth a shot - hp.com/go/spp is where you can download it.

Is there a problem you're experiencing?

You need to download

HPE Service Pack for ProLiant v2016.10.0 (24 October 2016)

(spp-2016.10.0-SPP2016100.2016_1015.191)

This is the last SPP compatible with G6 generation servers of Proliants.

Start server with this ISO /DVD (as .ISO from ILO if you have Advanced license). Then choose "Interactive" option and after accepting EULA - you are enabled to upgrade firmwares or confogure arrays. To update software under OS - you can also update it with this SPP or download latest SPP. Some drivers from newer SPPs are still compatible with this server.

I have for my SE316M1R2 BIOS in version R02 but dated as 2011.05.05.

Please notice that there is also iLO2 firmware update (Dec 2017 !!!), but you can find it only when you look for linux ILO updates. But I exctracted this FW from that linux RPM packages and upgraded simply with .BIN file directly via ILO interface to version 2.31 :-)
