Layout backside BL20pG3
Hi all,
I am new to this community, but I have a question right away.
I am working at a customer site with new HP Blade's. Now, blades are nice enclosed in a enclosure, but can somebody show me a layout of the back-end of those servers. It is regarding the NICs.
Thanks,
Thijs

Re: Layout backside BL20pG3
Thijs,
Every blade has got 4 NIC's, and Two nics are connected to the left side of the enclosiure, 2 nics to the right side.
So 16 connections arrive at each side of the enclosiure. Are you working with new enclosiures?
Older enclosiures use one of the nic channels of each blade to link the ILO to the outside world, newer enclosiures have got one NIC connection for all the blades, located on the power backplane.
Are you using switches are patch pannels for the networking in the blade enclosure?
Michael
