Light blinking on DL580

Hi I have a DL580 and the green light (the life-line) in the middle is blinking constantly. Does anyone know what could it be for. Thanks

Hi Donkarnash,

It sounds like you have a memory or processor problem on your server.

I recommend to try
reseat all the processor(s)
reseat all the memory
and check the IDD(Internal Diagnostic Display) indicator

Mate,
Thanks for your response on both the topics. I am a bit scared that there is a processor issue. It is the production seerver. Anyway, could you advise me how do I reset all mem & processors.
I am downloading the HP ProLiant Network Server Adapters and Upgrade Modules Software and Documentation. I will install and restart the machine. I hope all works well. Thanks once again.

Here is the process to reseat the processor and memory
1. Power down server and take necessary precautions for ESD-Electro Static Discahrge
and follow the processes from page 39 on wards of the document in this link

Hi,

The centre led will flash (amber) when a memory or CPU failure is present. Troubleshooting this involves looking at the error code displayed on the peripheral board. Please see the attached image which should help.
