Go to downloads for DL970: 

Go to firmware for ILO3.

Click on revision history.

Find 1.28, click on it.

Press obtain software.

Also for at least the DL380, the 1.28 is not an option anywhere.

HP has one of the worst support websites I've every seen.  Searching for DL380, for example, only brings up the Gen8 version.  Half the support links (if not all) in the forums are broken.

If you google for pages, some still point to hp.com, but you can get them if you replace hp.com by hpe.com in the link.

But why version 1.28???

That link is only temporary and at some point after the seperation probably won't work

I understand, that this post is very old but I have systems with iLo 3 1.10 and want to upgrade them to the latest 1.90 but learned that I need a 1.2x jump firmware and connot directly upgrade.
Is there still a way to get this firmware? I have not been able to find it.
