Loading Windows Server 2008 on HP ProLiant DL380 R03

Hi,

I have an issue, I am trying to load Windows Server 2008 on the above Hardware however I am not if the RAID Controller will accept accept the OS. In-addition the OS for 2008 is DVD and what is only CD-ROM. I was thinking of creating some bootable floppies and use a external floppy drive to boot from but don't know if the BIOS support booting from external floppy drive let alone USB. Any suggestion is more than welcome.

...the newest version of Windows supported on this model is Windows 2003.

You could try installing directly from the Windows 2008 DVD using an external (USB) DVD drive but you probably wont find any drivers to properly support the hardware under Windows 2008.
