Log Files filling up
I am having a problem with our COMPAQ Prolinant Server running SCO Unix ver 5.0.5. In the /var/spool/compaq folder there is a log file called agenterrs.log which is 212.MB large. In this file there is an error message that reads. "Terminated Compaq Insight SMUX Manager." We removed the data from this log file to the null directory and the byte size still reads 212 MB but the disk size shows that the file size is 0. What is causing this error message and what can we do to prevent this problem?

Re: Log Files filling up
You can try updating the agents to see if any changes occur, but if it doesn't fix the problem, you can change your security settings to be lower. You do this by going in scoadmin and the system folder, then security, adn then security profile manager. Lower this and it may fix your problem.
