Hello,
i migrated recently some internal RAID1 system
disk from 70GB to 140GB. (Pulling one Disk at a time and replacing it by the new 140GB one).
(on Blades DL680)
When the disk swap was completed, i try to grow the Locical Disk with:
hpacucli ctrl slot=0 ld 1 modify size=max
(OS is Oracle UL5.4)
On P400i SmartArray controllers, this works perfectly. But with E200i, i got the error,
that the current configuration doesn't support
this.
I wonder if the E200i is not able to do such a
modification at all, of if i miss something else some where.
Best regards
Ingo Schaefer

Solution
Probably the E200i does not have The BBWC option installed. Or if it is installed, it is disabled/failed.

If you install the BBWC you will be able to expand the logical disk(s).

Re: Logical Disk grow with SmartArray E200i failed
The blade had no battery cache. Adding a battery to the
controller and waiting for full charge solved the issue indeed.
Thanks a lot for your help.
