Logical disks counters

When creatin multiple logical disks, under performance monitor disk counters the drive letters doesn't show correctly, I have
c:
e:
e:#1
e:#2
e:#3
The letters in disk management are c: d: e: f: g:

How did you create them (hardware, software...)? Did you restart between setting them up and using perfmon?
